yesterday some people were shouting on not buying crystalline's,serphents and sickles since they claimed that the frog spoke and said that these weapons are going to be common in the new update? wdf? well im not the one who believes rumors when 1 person claims its true but like 20 or 30 people where shouting this at lion arch yesterday lol...........

It could be a semi-organized attempt to artificially drop the prices on these rare weapons. However, the FAQ on the new expansion does read "Many things will become significantly easier to acquire, including skill points and skills." This does hint that uber-rare items like ecto, crystallines, sickles, etc... may become more available to the general player base.

Given the above, I wouldn't recommend buying any of the mentioned uber-rare weapons until this upcoming Wednesday, when the rumors will be confirmed or denied.

I'm positive the frog said that there are going to be new things introduced (and they are theoretically going to be pretty rare), and he also said that drop rates will be increased. I don't think he ever explicitly said that ectos etc drops will increase, but that's one way of reading it.

You're kidding? I used to find loads of sickles, most of which went on to the merchant. That was a couple months ago though, so I guess prices have changed.

welp.. uhh haha. I had a 15% > 50 gold stickle customized for my warrior. But since it was customized and I wanted a monk, I deleted my warrior.

Anyone who pays through the nose for purely asthetic items has no right to complain they're getting "ripped off"... ever. They should know what they're getting into when they drop 50k+ on an item that functions no better than collector items.
